Observatory offering superb panoramic views of the Arnhem Plateau escarpments, the valley and Kakadu.
A 800-metre stone path takes you to an observatory where you can enjoy the views of the Cliffs plateau of Arnhem and the valley. A beautiful 4 km walk, but with some very steep climbs on a rocky path, leads you onto a raised platform at the top of Mount Cahill. Enjoy a magnificent panorama of infinite vegetation. The walking effort is worth the pain for a 360 ° view on Kakadu. You can sit down and admire the most beautiful view on Kakadu. However, beware of hot weather and go early in the morning. Avoid the beach 11 hours a day in the summer. Provide enough water and good walking shoes.
