72 km northeast of Gladstone, small coral island is low. It is surrounded by 24 km ² of reefs and offers fantastic diving and snorkeling spots from shore and offshore. 70% of the different coral species in the world can thus be seen and the incredible diversity of fish is rarely matched. There are a dozen beautiful coral gardens at 15 min from the harbour (3 to 25 m deep). The island is also a breeding site for Loggerhead turtles and houses 30 species of birds, including a large colony of black noddi terns and herons of the reefs.
