This is the easiest 5-star rating I have ever given. If you can make it work, Lady Elliot Island is easily the best vacation spot I’ve done in my 18 countries visited. What you imagine you’d see in the Great Barrier Reef, it was exactly what you think. You don’t need luck to see Manta rays, Clown fish, Turtles, Sharks, Blue Tang, or really ANY kind of sea creature. We saw all of these in our three days and often multiple times each day. If you get a cabin you have all day to do snorkeling and can go whenever it is most convenient for you. We had never went scuba diving before but did the Discovery Scuba Dive course and fell in love. The instructors were nice and ensure we were safe but also had the time of our lives. 100000 out of 10 rating.

Amazing sea life and snorkelling. Great food. We even got to see turtles hatching!

Had an excellent time on the day trip in early September! The snorkeling was fantastic and I much preferred the snorkeling in the lagoon over the other sites. I saw multiple sharks, turtles, and even an octopus!
