A picnic area with free gas barbecues is open to all. There are two major attractions to be seen within this 2,400 ha reserve, which opened in 1992:
The John Simons Flora & Fauna Sanctuary, which over an area of 180 ha introduces visitors to the flora, fauna and Aboriginal culture of western New South Wales.
The Sculpture site, featuring 12 sandstone sculptures designed by sculptors from around the world. The sculptures are located at the top of a hill offering panoramic views of Broken Hill and the Pinnacles.
