Superbly positioned on Broken Hill's main street, the Palace Hotel is an institution. In 1994, it played host to some of the cast and crew of the film Priscilla folle du désert, hence the suite of the same name. The establishment dates back to 1889 and is decorated in an original style. It has 48 rooms, ranging from deluxe to pub-style, with bathrooms in the hallway. Restaurant and pub on the first floor. Great atmosphere and live music every Saturday night. Even if you don't sleep here, at least come and admire the frescoes.
