It was popular for tennis as Rose Bay is home to White City, which was from 1922 until recently the home of Australian tennis and contributed to Australia's reputation as a sporting nation. Rose Bay is home to the Sydney seaplane bases which offer a unique (and somewhat expensive) way to see Sydney. You can arrange guided tours or a picnic on a secluded beach.
