SOUTH HEAD
Beautiful coastal reserve located at the southern entrance to Sydney Harbour, with sublime views of the harbour and surrounding area.
This beautiful coastal reserve lies at the southern entrance to Sydney Harbour and is easily accessible from Watsons Bay. Visitors come here for its sublime views of the harbour and harbour entrance. Take the opportunity to explore the surrounding area: Hornby Lighthouse, Camp Cove and Lady Bay Beach, The Gap (a cliff-top viewpoint over the Tasman Sea) and, of course, Watsons Bay, where Governor Phillip first landed in 1788 and where Australia's oldest fishing village was established. Whale watching from June to September.
