In Watsons Bay, where Governor Phillip landed in 1788 and Australia's oldest fishing village was born, two scenic trails offer superb views. The South Head Heritage Trail unveils breathtaking panoramas of Sydney Harbour and its entrance, and reaches the iconic Hornby Lighthouse. The Gap Trail follows a cliff for several kilometers, offering breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. The heart of Watsons Bay, with its waterfront, restaurants and parks, is easily accessible by ferry from Circular Quay.

Magnifique point de vue sur le Harbour

A 20min de ferry de circular quai, nous voilà à la plage, une belle balade à pied avec de très beaux points de vue, je recommande!

prendre le ferry à Circular quay pour Watson Bay, débarquer, se restaurer sur place selon l'heure (Doyles on the beach, ou the tea garden (nous y avons bien mangé)), se diriger vers la petite plage de Palm Cove pour une baignade avec la CBD en arrière plan, puis parcourir le chemin le long du cap jusqu'à la lighthouse, longer le Gap, la falaise impressionnante, prendre Hopetoun avenue et la quitter pour rejoindre Parsley bay par un chemin à travers un magique vallon verdoyant (on a l'impression d'être loin de la ville), franchir la bay par la Parsley bay brace, aller jusqu'à Vaucluse House (superbes maison et parc) en admirant les riches demeures, prendre le bus pour rejoindre Circular Quay. Très belle journée et peu couteuse (si vous prenez votre pique nique)
