Established in 1816, these royal botanical gardens offer fantastic views of Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

Established in 1816, the Royal Botanic Gardens are one of Sydney's finest natural treasures. Covering 30 hectares, they offer spectacular views of the harbour, Opera House and Harbour Bridge. More than a million plants are gathered here, some dating back to the arrival of the first settlers nearly 200 years ago. A former kitchen garden turned haven of peace, the garden is perfect for a sunset stroll. Several cafés and Luke Nguyen's gourmet Vietnamese restaurant, The Botanic House, complete the experience.

Endroit agréable avec une belle vue sur l'opéra et le pont mais c'est loin d'être le plus beau jardin botanique d'Australie... Il est certainement surclassé par celui de Hobart !

Parc splendide qui permet de se "dépayser" quand le besoin s'en fait sentir. Plantes endémiques magnifiques et à la tombée de la nuit il est sympa de voir les chauves-souris prendre leur envol.

Un de mes pars préféré dans Sydney. On peut s'y promener des heures, il est tres grand, et la vue au bout de la baie est superbe, petit picnic devant l'opéra...génial!

Very beautiful botanical garden with a fine collection of fougères. It is hard to imagine that you are in if city when you are surrounded by so majestic trees, in absolute calm.
And moreover, it is free!
