VIEWPOINT DEL RIO
Viewpoint west of Orzola with a small path to get to the Salinas at the foot of the cliff
Located to the west of Orzola, Mirador del Río can be reached from the LZ-10 road to Haría, and towers 480 m above Punta de Farlones (the island's northernmost point). It is a restaurant-mirador designed by César Manrique in 1974. The view plunges down to La Graciosa and stretches out into the distance to the other two islets in the north of Lanzarote: Montaña Clara and Alegranza. It was built on top of the Atalaya Grande, which was later renamed Bateria del Río. Once a military artillery base, the Bateria del Río was used by lookouts to control pirate invasions of the island. A short path leads to the Salinas at the foot of the cliff. After that, it's just a matter of climbing back up, so be brave!
Je pense que l'on peut très bien admirer l'île de la graciosa juste à côté du mirador et ce de façon gratuite.
