CASTILLO DE LA LUZ

Built in 1494 and located in front of the Quai des Chalutiers, this very rudimentary vessel dates from the Spanish conquest and was used to protect the island from possible invasions and pirate attacks. This well-preserved fortress was restored in 1998 and now houses a cultural and exhibition centre that hosts national and international events. Be careful, we're here more than 6 km from the cathedral.
