Museum installed in the replica of the caravel Santa Maria, in which Christopher Columbus made his first voyage to America
The Naval Museum is housed in the replica of the Santa Maria caravel in which Christopher Columbus made his first voyage to America. Dating from 1940, it houses precious Indian parchments, various nautical charts, 19th century ship models, navigational instruments, and archives and correspondence from yesteryear. Every five years it plays a central role in the festivities of the Bajada de la Virgen, one of the most important in the city.

Très intéressant, et original. Mais comme toujours au Canaries, il faut savoir lire l'Espagnol, l'Anglais ou l'Allemand. La visite est cependant assez rapide.
