Smallest hotel in the world, decorated like a boat, with a terrace with a panoramic view of the mountains

On a spit of land on the Atlantic, surrounded by eroded rocks and hammered cliffs, this is the world's smallest hotel. With its end-of-the-world feel, you'll be amazed by the beauty of the scenery as you gaze at this coastline where the waves crash against the rocks! This four-room hotel is decorated like a ship (ropes, lanterns and even an old-fashioned diving suit, navigation charts from the 14th century...), and stands on the tip of Punta Grande in the heart of the ocean! A magical place where the lower terrace offers panoramic views of the mountains, the rocks and chasms where the waves seep in, and the small village. All rooms have balconies with ocean views. Lucky guests can have lunch here, as two large terraces spread out on the first floor, separated by a large TV lounge with comfortable sofas. There's a whole history to this place, which attracts the curiosity of visitors from all over the world. The very first house on the island was only 40 m² when it was built in 1830, and was enlarged in 1884 to become a storage center for many of the island's products, before being abandoned in 1930 with the economic decline of the site in favor of the capital Valverde. Later, "the house on the point" was taken over by the Padrón family and renovated by architect José Luis Jiménez Saavedra, who turned it into a fully integrated place that respects the historical and natural heritage of a spectacular landscape with indomitable waves. The proof is in the many international awards it has won, including the record for the "world's smallest hotel" (see Guinness World Records) in 1989. It's a veritable museum, with its many historical artifacts and natural materials: rock, wood and lava. Fishermen can cast their lines directly from the terrace or rocks to bring in fresh fish - and it's better for them, as the sea can be rough at times! A unique place!
