ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM

You can see some of the treasures that have been found in the village in this tiny archaeological museum. Its showcases display objects dating from the proto-Helladic period that are believed to be the oldest ever found in Greece. These include fragments of large bronze tripods from the Polis cave, dating from the ^9th to ^8th centuries BC, a clay mask with the inscription "dedicated to Ulysses" dating from the ^1st or ^2nd century BC, and a stone relief with dancing nymphs from the Hellenistic period.
