Visit the cave of Aghia Sofia by heading towards the coast, a 30-minute walk to the Kokala Gulf.

Heading towards the coast, a 30-minute walk away, towards the Kokala Gulf, you'll catch a glimpse of the Aghia Sofia cave (or at least a 200 m gallery). Unfortunately, it is currently abandoned. The path is already impressive, punctuated by stalagmites and stalactites. At the entrance, the small chapel of Aghia Sophia awaits you, with its wooden temple and paintings discovered in 1955 by a couple of researchers. While you wait for the chapel to be restored, you can watch the sunset from the entrance to the site.

Au bout de la route qui y mène, vous trouverez à vous parquer. Un chemin vous y emmènera.. des escaliers descendent vers la grotte mais c'est un peu glissant. Si vous trouvez la grotte fermée, malgré la déception, le spectacle "nature" est splendide !
