BYZANTINE CYTHERA MUSEUM

A nice surprise. A precious collection of Byzantine and meta-Byzantine artwork is on display in the small meta-Byzantine chapel of Analipsis in Kato Livadi. You will see Byzantine frescoes as well as icons and various service items. But the Byzantine heritage is far too large for this small museum. Most of the works are kept in the deposits of the Metropolitan Church of Kythera . A small educational visit to be made here.
