The apartments at Dr. Kavvadia's farm are truly enchanting. Ideal for families or couples who want to relax in a rural setting, yet ideally located in the center of the island. The names of the accommodations evoke the use they were once put to, to store olives or as stables for animals. Today, they are tastefully decorated and equipped with all modern comforts. An excellent choice for nature lovers.

The tour and tasting exceeded all expectations! It was very interesting and the welcome was the warmest. Also at the farm you will be met by wonderful cats and they will spend the whole time with you, whether you want them to or not :)

Wonderful farm tour and olive oil tasting. Definitely worth the trip out of Corfu Town. Our guide was fabulous and super knowledgeable about Corfu agricultural, food and especially olive oil.

Take a Break from the Beach to Visit an Organic Olive Farm in Corfu

While in Corfu this week, my husband and I and two close friends made a most enjoyable visit to Dr. Kavvadia’s organic farm. We sampled their Thiako olive oil, a rare variety in Corfu, and Lianelia olive oil, a local Corfiot variety.

Leah, a member of their team, gave us a fun and informative tour of the farm. Leah has a wealth of knowledge and really brings to life the organic, earth-friendly techniques they employ.

On an island like Corfu, I highly recommend balancing your beach time by learning about people’s relationship to the land. The farm tour with Leah at Dr. Kavvadia’s provides a satisfying complement to time spent on a beach lounge chair.
