SOUSOURO CAFÉ

This pretty café spreads its pastel chairs on the main square of Pyrgos, in the shade of the plane tree. You can have coffee there, but you can also taste the homemade desserts for which the place is famous: lemon pies, banoffee, pancakes or traditional pastries. The café has been taken over by a dynamic team: for years the Sousouro was the only establishment in the village to open at 5am to serve coffee to the workers of the nearby marble quarries. It was later transformed into a grocery store before returning to its original function in 2015
