Interesting little museum known as a lively meeting place for Thracian folk culture.

Jewels, clothes and icons of Thrace are gathered in this interesting little museum housed in a stone mansion built in 1899 in Alexandroupoli. Some works are particularly interesting, including an 18th century icon depicting God next to Christ. Open since October 2002, it is a project sponsored in part by the Niarchos Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, and a lively meeting place for Thracian popular culture.
