Sculptures and stones found on the site of Adera, in a museum worth a visit in Komitini.

This museum is worth a visit. It houses an important collection of objects (ceramics, jewellery, coins), sculptures and stones found at the Abdère, Maronia and Messimvria sites. The objects on display cover a wide period from prehistoric to Roman times. The highlight of the museum is undoubtedly Room E, with its bust in fine gold, which belonged to the Roman Emperor Septimius Severus, and is in an excellent state of preservation. It is a pleasant museum, very educational, often attended by school groups.
