This beautiful excursion can be done during the day, reaching Prionia by car from Litochoro and following the Olymbos signs. The road, made of earth, is bad, but is still passable. In Prionia, a fountain allows you to fill up with water, but it is necessary to provide a wide range: at least one bottle per person for the ascent and one for the descent. It's hot in summer, especially when you walk! We can have lunch at the refuge, from where the view is superb. On the road we meet some mules carrying the house's supplies.
