Remarkable residences in the city of Kastoria.

Kastoria is also famous for its ancient stone and wooden houses: the archontika. You can see some in the street Vizantinou, on the left after the restaurants by following the street Alexandrou in the direction of the peninsula. Note the wooden floors and shutters on the white plaster of the houses Théodore Nantzis, Bassara, Emmanuel and Picheon. They feature carved wooden decorations and wall paintings of an almost baroque style. The Emmanuel house now houses the Museum of Traditional Costumes. Most of these houses are closed.

En vous promenant dans les ruelles de la ville (attention c'est assez pentu) de même qu'en bordure lac, vous ne pourrez manquer ces maisons et bâtisses superbement entretenues, mêlant bois et pierres c'est du plus bel effet et un ravissement pour vos yeux, de belles photos en perspective.
