MARCHÉ CENTRAL MODIANO

We run there since it finally reopened in 2022, after renovation. It is named after the architect, Eli Modiano, who designed it between 1922 and 1930. This son of a great banker had studied architecture in Paris before returning to Thessaloniki. Currently undergoing renovation, it cultivates its atmosphere. Here, as you walk among the market stalls, you will realize that the Orient is not far away. Spices galore, vegetables, fruits, fish, cheeses pour into the small alleys. A must-see during your stay!
