The Kapani market of Thessaloniki is an open market, created in the 1920s by Greek refugees from Asia Minor. The atmosphere is oriental and good-natured. On the spot, it is a real kaleidoscope of smells and colors. You can buy food there or stop in small ouzeries to have a drink. A bazaar is spread out in its extension.
