The church's interior is both sober and richly colored, with columns sculpted with faces, flowers and pine cones.
The building is impossible to miss: it stands right next to the 15th-century gateway that marks the entrance to the fortified village. With its arkose stone quarried locally and its traditional Auvergne style, you'd think it was built in medieval times. And yet! Construction only began in 1846. The church's interior is both sober and richly colored, with columns carved with faces, flowers or pine cones. Concealed at the back, a small hidden garden offers a panoramic view of the surrounding area.
