Church with a warm welcome to visit, constituting one of the unmissable of Metsovo.

The Aghios Nikolaos Church is signposted from the street that goes down from the main square and passes in front of the Athinas restaurant. A 14th century chapel decorated with post-Byzantine frescoes can be discovered there. The place and the works are in a good state of conservation, however the most beautiful icons have been transferred to the Tositsa house. Admission is free and the warm welcome is warm, we can only recommend a visit to this charming church which is one of the unmistakable landmarks of Metsovo.

Cette église située au coeur du village au milieu d'un parc, sera vous ravir, de plus elle est presque toujours ouverte. Désolé les phots intérieures sont interdites, donc que des extérieurs. Remarquable mobilier religieux dans l'église orthodoxe, mêlant une touche de moderne, curieux et bizarre à la fois, mais de bon goût.
