A museum exhibiting scale models of the statue and tools of the Byzantine church built in the century.
Towards the south of the ancient site of Olympia, stands out a Byzantine church built in the5th century. It was built on the ruins of the workshop of Phidias who built the chryselephantine statue of Zeus. During the excavations carried out on the site, models of the statue and tools were found and are now on display in the museum.
A little further south is the house of the phedryntes who were responsible for the maintenance of the statue of Zeus and all the statues of the sanctuary. To the west of the Byzantine church and theheron are the ruins of the ancient baths.
