Naval museum exhibiting a battleship cruiser that belonged to the military fleet.
Now docked and converted into a naval museum on the water since 1984, the ship Averoff was a jewel of the Greek national navy as, at the time, it was the most modern and powerful ship in the Eastern Mediterranean. Designed and built at the Orlando shipyard in Livorno, between 1908 and 1911, this unique battleship cruiser belonged to the military fleet thanks to the donations of the Greek people and the national benefactor G. Averoff. She participated in both world wars.
