Nautical museum offering an exhibition through navigation objects from prehistoric times.
Founded in 1949, the Nautical Museum safeguards and promotes the country's long maritime tradition. This long tradition, from prehistoric times to the present day, is exhibited through some 250,000 objects: models of ships, amphorae, weapons, paintings and engravings dating back to the 17th century, navigational objects, etc. Visitors can also admire part of the A. Onassis collection (room D). In the courtyard, the kiosk of the Papanikolis submarine, scuttled by the Italian army in 1940, recalls the beginning of the Second World War in Greece.
