The Areopagus democracy, the Areopagus, was the high legal body that saw the gods, heroes and men accused of murder. Saint Paul addressed the Athenians for the first time in 54 after J.-C. on this hill. The second hill, called the The, was the place where the people's assembly met. We are still seeing speakers'galleries. The third hill, called hill of the Muses or hill of Philopappou, has a funeral monument dedicated to the benefactor of the city of Athens, of the same name.
Between the hill of Muses and La, there was the Koilé, a dungeon in Greek, which housed a large part of the Women population in antiquity. A rampart protected it and left from the hill of Des to go to the hill of Nymphs, which today carries on its summit a observatory.
