JOURNÉE INTERNATIONALE DES MUSÉES

It is THE day to walk around museums in peace, or almost. May 18 is International Museum Day, established by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) in 1977. Not only is admission to all museums free, but many take advantage of this to organize special celebrations or festivities. Knowing that it is still relatively out of season, this date is a godsend for visitors. Nevertheless, it is also very popular among Greeks who take the opportunity to go out with their families.
