We're here in the outbuildings of the Hotel Kvarner, built in 1890 to accommodate the royal and imperial families of Austria-Hungary, Germany, Romania... Set back from the Lungomare, bordered by an exotic Mediterranean park where Isadora Duncan loved to stroll, the Villa Amalia is an elegant, multi-storey building.
