Located at 30 min from Tana, the hill of Ambohidrabiby offers a pleasant escapade for a day of picnic. From the top, the landscape of the Imerina hills is visible as far as the eye can see.In the 16th century, King Ralambo had settled on this hill. One can see the remains of the surrounding wall as well as the moat of the stronghold that he had built there. He was also the first to decide to domesticate the zebu, which was wild until then.It can be reached by taxi-brousse from the eastern bus station in Tana, on the RN 3 in the direction of Anjozorobe (turn right at km 20, where you can admire a stone raised in honor of Ralambo).
