The highest railway viaduct in France crossing the Sioule valley, above the river, located in Les Ancizes-Comps.
In Auvergnat, "les fades" means "the fairies". At 132.50 metres high, the Viaduc des Fades is one of the highest railway viaducts in France. It was built between 1901 and 1909. Until 2007, it served as a link between Clermont and Montluçon. Today, the line is closed. The viaduct overlooks the Fades dam, providing one of the most spectacular views of the Sioule valley. Closed for a long time, it can now be crossed by electric velorail (booking a few days in advance recommended).

Originality
Currently closed to traffic trains, the viaduct Tasteless is an imposing work that dominates the Combrailles, built in typical black stone corner, the Volvic stone. The setting is ideal for hiking
