THEIMUSSA

The ancient city of Theimussa was located in the place of the present Üçağiz. You can still observe the Lycian necropolis, several tombs dug into the rock that have carved facades, some of which are dated to the ^4th BC, as well as sarcophagi from the Hellenistic period and the Roman period. Üçağiz today is a pretty fishing village, only disturbed in the high tourist season when buses unload their share of tourists from all over the world, who leave the same evening after making the required boat trip.
