Mr. Mehmet Aksoy's restaurant is famous and attracts Kayseri lovers. The room is halfway between a cave and a troglodyte house and it is a bit dark with a decoration that mixes rustic and kitsch. The dishes are rather good and the bill is very wise. The specialties are pide (pizza bread with cheese or meat) and kiremit (vegetables, fish or meat, cooked in a special pot). Sütlaç (rice pudding), made on a wood fire, delicious. No alcohol but a nice terrace to have a tea on nice days.
