On the road to Cairo, a few kilometres from St. Catherine's, lies the Feiran Oasis, the largest oasis in Sinai. Placed on the route followed by the Jewish people during the exodus, according to the Old Testament, it saw Moses praying from one of the peaks that dominate the valley. Today, inhabited by settled Bedouins, it houses a small Greek Orthodox monastery, drowned in a garden of palm trees and citrus fruits (exit of the village, on the right). The road that goes from Sainte-Catherine to Noueiba is of great beauty. A few kilometres from the Noueiba-Dahab junction, you can't miss, on your right, a Bedouin "tourist" camp
