BURULLUS LAKE

The lake is a few kilometres east of Rosette. It is one of the largest wildlife reserves in Egypt and is of vital importance for bird migration. There are 33 species of fish, 23 species of reptiles, 112 species of birds, 18 species of mammals. In the south of the lake there is a salt mining and fish farms. It is possible to take a boat tour by renting one from fishermen. Please note, however, that access to the lake requires a special permit.
