What an exceptional day trip snorkeling with my wife and, inexperienced 9 and 12 year old, children.
The staff had a trained and friendly eye on my children, assisting around every small wave, while us as adults can also feel rested to experience this great outing.
2 Top spots for our trip was chosen and with spectacular scenery.
Look no further for any other way to explore this underwater journey around Stonetown.

Staff were excellent, very professinal. I forgot my card and they did a PADI check, which was good.
Staff were friendly and the coolest dive boat I've been on for a while. The dives themselves were a not the best, lots of sand with isolated coral and average visibility, but the day out was fab. (Staff have no control over the conditions).
The food platters whey produced between dives was amazing!!! Local baked goods and fresh fruit.
All in all a great day out my whole group really enjoyed it.

One Ocean Dive Center in Stone Town is phenomenal. My wife and I traveled to Mafia for diving after being on Safari, but found the atmosphere a bit too slow for our liking. We pivoted and went to Zannzibar. Ocean One provided us with 3 days of amazing diving. The staff is incredibly friendly. Sam welcomed us with open arms and Hassan was our extraordinary DM for 6 great dives. We even did two dives with a marine coral scientist trying to slow down our exploration...Pole Pole! We have our own equipment but rented everything other than our masks from One Ocean because we didn't want to drag our stuff all over Africa. We had no issues and I would be happy to rent from them again. The coral reefs off of Stone Town were like non we have ever experienced back in the US or the Caribbean. They are very healthy and full of diversity and color. The Aquarium and Two Stones were our
favorite two dives. Going to a 30 m wreck was also really nice. We had been told and had read that Zannzibar didn't have good diving compared to other regional destinations, completely disagree! It may be so, but we will never know and don't regret our decision at all. The bonus was that we got to explore the vibrant and culturally diverse city of Zannzibar and interact with it's incredibly inviting and kind population.

I've been diving several times in the past few months with One Ocean Stone Town and they are top notch! From a divemaster and marine biologist's perspective, Stone Town actually has some of the best diving around since it is far less busy (only a few divers per day versus hundreds in Mnemba) and the coral itself is in surprisingly great condition. No, there are not a ton of huge fish (due to overfishing - what is on your plate?) and the sites are not deep, but that does not mean there isn't a lot to explore. If you know about marine life and want to see more than just big fish, and like to discover the small or hidden creatures that make reefs function, this is for you! It is so relaxing to dive the reefs around Stone Town on the One Ocean dhow.
On a personnel level, the One Ocean staff, from captains and crew to the managers and dive instructors, are warm, fun, friendly, and caring. On a recent dive day the dive staff had to deal with a very difficult diver on the boat - One Ocean remained extremely professional and admirably calm, keeping safety as the priority. Highly recommend diving with One Ocean Stone Town for anyone looking for a different experience from the mass tourism in other parts of the island!

Nice club with good equipment, but the life off the coast of Zanzibar is not really great. I had the night dive, was on a sinked british boat. Almost no life, just some boxfish, some big shrimps, and a few big fish. Disappointing!

We had a wonderful time scuba diving AND snorkeling with Rashid, Hassan (Ice Cube) and crew. As soon as we entered the shop, they received us with so much warmth and kindness that we ended up doing 2 trips with them. We returned the next day to spend an afternoon doing a pool training under Rashid, in preparation for the next days outing. Rashid was attentive and thorough in guiding us through all things scuba. The following day we met him and the crew at the shop at 9am where we were offered sea sickness medication and wet bags to carry our things with us aboard. We visited two sites and saw tons of fish and healthy coral that day. They made sure to tell us to use eco friendly sunscreen to ensure the coral reefs stay vibrant for future visitors, which we appreciated. They also took time to clean up trash at Nakupenda on our second day with them. Love their appreciation of the ocean and efforts to keep it clean!

I just went snorkeling with One Ocean Dive Centre today. We took a trip to Mnemba island. All I can say is the experience was chaotic as there were way too many boats in the area all close together. I have snorkeled in many countries through the years, but, this was by far the worst snorkeling experience I have had. A ton of boats crowding the area, it was confusing to see where your snorkeling guide was as there were others close by, etc.
I also noticed that even with snorkelers in the water, there was boating passing by with their outboard motors very closely.
I don’t like to post negative things usually, but I just felt like this snorkeling experience could have been so much better. And it for sure could have been safer.

One Ocean is a lovely dive center with nice and professional staff. They do double dives in the morning and nights dives in, the evening and drive out to the dive sites with their beautiful traditional dhow. During the dives there are tasty snacks on the boat and after the is a shower in, the dive center. They can take snorklers and divers on the boat, which is great. The dive sites are fantastic also, the bets corals in zanzibar mixed with wreck diving is fantastic! I can reccomend to everyone!

Coole Tauchbasis mit fähigem Personal . Super freundlich und kompetent . Die Organisation war sehr professionell und die Guids wussten zu jeder Zeit was sie tun ,außerdem hatten sie viel Spaß und es gab immer etwas zu lachen . Das war tauchen auf hohem Niveau. Sicherheit wird hier groß geschrieben.Der Pickup Service vom und zum Hotel in Kiwengwa hat Wunderbar geklappt . Ich habe 10 Tauchgänge gemacht und war total zufrieden. Sehr schöne divespots, intakte Riffe und viele Fische !! Es ist für jeden etwas dabei ob Anfänger oder Profi .außerdem gab es immer lecker essen auf den Booten ! Asante sana!!!

Super nette Tauchlehrer.
200$ für Probetauchen im Pool und zwei Tauchgängen im Meer. Absolut zu empfehlen. Es gab sogar Snacks auf dem Boot zwischen den beiden Tauchgänge. Man taucht sogar zu einem Wrack.

Nothing but good things to say. Staff was awesome, accommodating, and friendly. Dives were good on this quieter side of the island (in terms of diving). Snacks provided on the boat and vibes were immaculate. Finished out Open Water training dives and got certified here. Would highly recommend doing your training dives here! PS, ask for Aakash!

We took at snorkelling trip from Matemwe. Pick up from hotel was good. Arrived at centre but then there was quite a lot of waiting - I think this is just the relaxed Zanzibar vibe which we are not used to? :) Several boat transfers from small boats to big boats on account of the low tide seemed to take yet more time but understandable. Saw quite a lot of small creatures eg fish, snake; guide was good at pointing out. However, there were SO many other boats and snorkellers and divers... I spent most of my time looking up to ensure I did not get hit by a boat and lose my guide! This is not the fault of One Ocean - but it did affect my enjoyment. A recent change by the government means that the boats cannot visit where they used to on account of the owners of the private Mnemba Island - such a shame!

Je vous fait part de mon expérience. Ce club est très professionnel, de très bonne prestation avec tout matériel pro et très bien. Un staff francophone sans problème, très sociable, gentil, honnête, et très correct. Font preuve de professionnalisme nickel. Je conseil fortement ce club les yeux fermés. Wir haben während unseres Zanzibar Urlaubes 4 Tauchgänge bei One Ocean gebucht. Wir sind Tauchanfänger und waren echt gespannt. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Wir wurden am Hotel abgeholt und zur Basis gebracht, dort wurden wir ausgestattet mit allem was benötigt wurde. Nach einer kurzen Fahrt ging es auf einem Boot aufs Meer raus. Unser Tauchguide hat uns alles ruhig und gelassen erklärt. Während den Tauchgängen gibt es einen kleinen Snack auf dem Boot. Alles in allem waren wir super zufrieden und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Ein großes Lob an das ganze Team, ihr macht das super. Wir kommen wieder.

I had a really good experience diving with them.
The staff are friendly, the equipment dive are perfect and the trip was so good.
I really recommend to dive with them and dive in stone town. There are some beautiful corals.

This is the best way to experience the coral reefs in Stone Town, and possibly the whole island. Professional, considerate, and environmentally friendly. Their guides and equipment are miles above the rest yet they are still very reasonably priced.
