Arty boutique hotel with rooftop terraces and restaurants in a historic setting in Stone Town.

This arty boutique hotel is a listed historic building, with beautiful carved wooden doors and antique chandeliers. The 11 rooms are unique, with marble mosaics, wood panelling, colorful stained-glass windows and princess beds. Some are extended by rooftop terraces, have a shower on the balcony; all are spectacular. An antique book on Zanzibar sits on the desk, underlining the cachet of the place. Bonus: delicate linens, coquettish lounges... Secret Garden and Tea House (roof terrace) are excellent places to dine.

One of the best hotels in Stone Town Zanzibar, this inspired and lovingly restored merchant's house has eleven elegantly furnished rooms structured around an airy central courtyard.

The hotel houses two restaurants: The Secret Garden Restaurant, located in the characteristic ruins of the adjacent garden, and the Spice Hotel Tea House on the roof, one of Stone Town's most renowned restaurants, which offers an elegant ambience amidst the sound of the calls to prayer from the city's many mosques.

Das 5 Gänge Menü war sehr schmackhaft, der Fisch war frisch. Die Aussicht war atemberaubend. Empfehlenswert, kommt auf jeden Fall schon um 18.00 Uhr - dann könnt ihr den gesamten Sonnenuntergang genießen. Cocktails kosten 8$ on top - 40$ pro Person.

Un petit restaurant à côté d'un hôtel, caché dans le centre de Stone Town, avec une cour intérieure délicieuse. Et en parlant de délicieux, les plats que nous avons pris l'étaient tout autant.
Réservation conseillée car cela peut vite se remplir.

I rarely write reviews, but Emerson Spice is honestly exquisite. I highly recommend. The rooms are gorgeous, the service is impeccable, and the price is reasonable.
