Is een mooi hotel die zijn glorie dagen in het verleden had, het is nog steeds een goede plaats om te verblijven prijs/kwaliteit is goed maar in de nabij toekomst heeft het wel een update nodig
Whether you are climbing Kilimanjaro or just looking to stay somewhere with a relaxing atmosphere in lovely grounds then we highly recommend this hotel. They arranged everything for our Kili trek including some awesome guides and porters and looked after us so very well. Very friendly, kind and helpful staff for which nothing is too much trouble.
This place dates back to colonial period, and still is well kept to retain its originality. Rooms are relatively high priced since it is considered an antique hotel. One of best hotels to acclimatize before climbing Kilimanjaro
The best place to stay close to Kilimanjaro!
I was spending in July 3 nights with a friend, and I regret I couldn't stay longer. The land and facilities (with swimming pool, bar & lots of places to chill) are fantastic: clean and organized. Also I tried there breakfast and dinner: were delicious and big amounts. But the best there are owners and workers: you feel there like at home :)
If you're up to visit Marangu, I recommend you to have a look to this place!
Your description is very negative fortunately that we did not believe you. The rooms are simple, spacious and airy. the beds are comfortable half-board is on a good level, which justifies the price.
Concerning the service trekking, it was in all points remarkable: exchange first e-mail briefing of the manager our equipment and a TEAM very qualified and pro. They were present but discreet.
