The company was officially established in 2011 and specializes in adventures and safaris in East Africa. The company is committed to providing high quality services and meeting the desired standards of each client with a long term relationship. The word POPOTE is the Swahili phase which means EVERYWHERE. The main objective of the company is to become the first African tour operator that offers all adventure activities in all African countries. Over the past 10 years, Popote Africa Adventures Ltd has done a lot of research and investment to ensure that our clients enjoy a unique lifestyle and experiences.

Safety Standards:

As we are both a mountaineering and safari company, your safety during the climb and safari is our top priority. Our clients trust us, and we take this responsibility very seriously to ensure that all our clients remain safe while successfully achieving their dreams. To confirm this, all of our guides are Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certified, which means they are well experienced and able to make decisions on any serious issue such as medical care and evacuation.

Our guides and porters have been working on Mount Kilimanjaro for a long time, between 5 and 15 years, giving them a wealth of experience in all things trekking.

Climbing and safari knowledge:

Our trekking and safari guides, as well as our porters, know the mountain and nature in general well. They can explain the nature correctly and can answer any questions you may have during your trip with us. They have all the knowledge you need. Our safari guides are all professionals for game drives, walking safaris, birding and nature reports.

Quality investment:

We have invested in quality 4WDs, new land cruisers, with quality modifications in relation to the environment and nature. Our safari vehicles are equipped with high quality accessories, refrigerator for cold drinks, air-conditioning system to maintain a warm safari environment, sunroof for easy animal viewing, large window for animal viewing and professional camera. For the Kilimanjaro climb, we have invested in high quality equipment such as four season mountain tents, which are high quality tents.

Our operations:

We organize group tours, family tours and private tours for trekking and safaris. For private tours, our clients are completely free to choose the time of departure, the route to climb Kilimanjaro and the number of days required to complete the climb. The same applies to private safaris. For group trekking or safaris, all our departures on the website are small group tours, which any client can join and get a group package price. It's more fun to climb in a small group than solo, as you interact with more people, learn more about the cultures of this part of the world and make new friends. Our groups are organized up to a maximum of 10 people. All you need to do is choose your group date on our website and pay the deposit required to be enrolled in that group's climb. Once the deposit is received, your trip is booked. If the group already consists of 10 people, it will be marked as a closed group. This means that you will not be able to re-book that date, but you will be able to choose the nearest date.
