Public camp located on the rim of the crater offering a beautiful view, a good sleeping bag is recommended for the nights.
Very well located on the crater rim, this only public camp is very crowded, therefore tight, rudimentary (WC, cold shower, collective kitchen, living room) and badly kept (dirty sanitary). But with the view on the crater, we forget the discomfort. There is some wifi and a few plugs to charge your phone in the living room, which is always overcrowded. Beware, the nights are cold at 2 000 m of altitude. Bring warm clothes and a good sleeping bag (but also toilet paper, flip-flops and a headlamp). Do not leave anything of value in the tents.
