Museum with iconographic documents on the history of the region and archaeological remains in an old fort.

The museum is housed in the former German fort (in German, a boma) built in 1886 as the administrative headquarters. One can discover, in a dusty environment, iconographic documents on the history of the region, a small botanical garden, archaeological remains of the famous Olduvai and Laetoli Gorge (including footprints) and some stuffed animals: leopard, lion, zebra, antelopes... Sometimes instructive and surprising.
