The museum houses collections of classical art from the 18th century to the Second World War and contemporary art from 1945 to 1991. The collections as a whole are a must for discovering Estonian art and artists and offer a fine testimony to the country's artistic movements. The museum is of great importance for the country, as it is the first to gather an extensive collection of Estonian art from the classical period to the present day. In 2008 it was awarded the European Museum of the Year prize. An immersion in national art!

Si vous êtes là pour quelques jours, visitez le musée d'art de Tallinn. Il est situé à Kardriorg à quelques arrêts de tram du centre-ville, non loin du palais présidentiel. Le bâtiment moderne en verre est une oeuvre en soi. Le musée offre une exposition permanente et plusieurs expositions temporaires d'artistes estoniens ou étrangers. On peut poursuivre avec une balade dans le jardin de Kadriorg. Agréable.

Très belle collection au sein d'un bâtiment à l'architecture moderne, au bout du parc de Kadriorg à l'est de la ville. Permet de passer quelques heures loin des nombreux touristes qui déambulent dans la vieille ville. A ne pas manquer.
