TBILISI - TAVERNE GEORGIENNE

This couple opened a Georgian restaurant in Tartu. This tasty, generous Caucasian cuisine was so successful that they quickly opened a second one in Tallinn. The food here is just like back home: succulent. Meat kebabs, eggplants with pomegranate, khatchapouri (melted cheese fritters), not to mention Georgian wine and beer: the whole panoply of what was the USSR's most renowned cuisine is served with panache.
