This 50 km² forest is home to stone mushrooms that provide the perfect backdrop for hiking.

This forest of natural sculptures of red sandstone has something of fairy tale. These stone mushrooms make a fantastic setting for hiking. The site is also known as one of the major climbing sites in Bulgaria. The town of Belogradchik is at the heart of this swarm; just south of the town, one of the most spectacular groups evokes mythical characters. There are "Adam and Eve", "The Lion", "The Dervish", "The Monks", "The Rider" and others.

A travers la citadelle et les blocs de roches un chemin avec des escaliers mène à un petit plateau d 'ou l'on découvre une magnifique panorama sur les sculptés de la région. Cette visite mérite le détour .
