CASCADE DE BOYANA

This is one of the most popular summer excursions of the inhabitants of Sofia. It's a bit sporty though, as it involves climbing about 500 m of difference in altitude following a 5 km loop starting from the church of Boyana on a marked footpath to reach the beautiful Boyana waterfall. Count a little less than 3 hours of quiet walk in total and bring good hiking shoes because you can cross some muddy places and even small streams. The discovery of the waterfall, a waterfall of 18 m, will largely reward you for your efforts!
