A little far from the other sites of Anping, we advise you to take a taxi to get there if you are not motorized, but the bus will also do very well. This fortress was built in 1874 to consolidate the Chinese defences, according to European plans: the first of its kind built by the Chinese! On the ramparts, two copies replace the gigantic original cannons, sold by the Japanese administration during the Russo-Japanese war of 1904.

L'intérieur n'est pas très excitant (une mini-exposition sur le lieu, une tour de vigie datant des années 70's), mais l'entrée n'est pas chère pour compléter la balade du très touristique quartier d'Anping.

Il n'y a rien à voir à l'intérieur de cette forteresse mais la promenade sur les remparts offre une belle vue.
