Opposite the towers, this Taoist temple is dedicated to the god of war, Guan Gong. Built by Koxinga's son, probably around 1663, it would have first housed the residence of the last Ming princes in exile in Taiwan, and perhaps was the residence of Koxinga himself. Several times renovated over the centuries, it also houses two other shrines: the first dedicated to Guanyin, a Buddhist fertility deity, and the second venerating Yue Lao, god of marriage.
